About this statement
This statement explains which personal data Nemvo collects, why we need it, and what you can do about it. We’ve kept it as short and readable as we could.
Nemvo is a Dutch company and follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in the Netherlands called the Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (AVG). For everything in this statement, Nemvo is the controller: we decide what happens with your data, and we’re the ones you can talk to about it.
The short version
- We only collect what we need to answer your questions, help you and run our business.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- Our website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
- We keep data only as long as we need it, or as long as Dutch law requires.
- You can always ask what we know about you, and have it corrected or deleted.
What we collect and why
We collect personal data in four situations. For each one, the GDPR requires a legal basis, so we’ve listed that too.
| When | What we collect | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| You email us | Your name, email address, your message and anything else you choose to share | To reply and help you | Our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps towards an agreement you ask for |
| You book a call | Your name, email address, company, the time you pick and your answers to the booking questions | To plan and prepare the call | Steps towards an agreement, at your request |
| You become a client | Contact details of your contact persons, agreements, invoices and payment details | To deliver our services and send invoices | Performing our agreement, and our legal obligation to keep accounts |
| You visit our website | Your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in our hosting provider’s server logs | To keep the website running and secure | Our legitimate interest in a safe website |
Cookies and the cat
Our website doesn’t use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you won’t see a cookie banner.
If you find the little game on our homepage, your best score is saved in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device and we can’t see it. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Who else sees your data
We never sell or rent your data. We only share it with the service providers that help us run Nemvo, and only what they need for their task. Where the law requires it, we have a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) with them.
| Provider | What for | Where your data is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft | Hosting our website | Sweden |
| Google Workspace | Email, file storage, video calls, and calendars | European Union |
| Our accountant and the Belastingdienst | Bookkeeping and tax returns, where Dutch law requires it | The Netherlands |
How long we keep it
We keep personal data no longer than we need it. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Emails and questions | Up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client |
| Call bookings | Up to 1 year after the call |
| Client records and invoices | 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires it (fiscale bewaarplicht) |
| Website server logs | Up to 3 months |
How we protect it
Looking after data is our daily work, so we apply the same care to yours. We use two-factor sign-in on our accounts, an encrypted connection (HTTPS) on our website and up-to-date software. Only the people who need your data can access it.
If something does go wrong, we report it to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens within 72 hours where the law requires it, and we tell you if it affects you.
Your rights
It’s your data, so you’re in charge. You can ask us to:
- show you which personal data we have about you
- correct it if it’s wrong
- delete it
- limit how we use it
- give you a copy to take to another provider
- stop using it, if we rely on our legitimate interest
If you gave us permission for something, you can withdraw it at any time.
Just email hello@nemvo.eu. We’ll reply within one month, and usually much sooner. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so your data never ends up with someone else.
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please tell us, so we can put it right. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
When we look after your IT
When we manage systems for a client, we may come across personal data that belongs to that client, such as their employees’ accounts and emails. In that case the client is the controller and we are the processor. We only use that data on the client’s instructions and agree on this in a separate data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst).
Changes and contact
We update this statement when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when we last did. Questions about your privacy? Email us at hello@nemvo.eu.
